The Highmen Is An Acoustic Band With Three Songwriters From Norway. By Now They Have Recorded Five Demos Released Every Year At Christmas. The Three Band Members Grew Up Together In Nittedal Just Outside Oslo. Morten Syreng Became A Local Guitar Hero At The Age Of 13 Playing In Several Garage Bands. A Couple Of Years Later He Began Making Acoustic Humouristic Songs With Andreas Reinhardt. The Third Member Of The Highmen Torgrim Lid Moved To Salt Lake City With His Family Around This Period. He Stayed In USA For 10 Years And Inspired By Artists Like Bert Jansch And Michael Hedges He Learned To Write Songs Sing And Play Guitar And Piano.
He Moved Back To Nittedal And Got In Touch With Morten And Andreas Again. They Formed A Band Turnus Together With Bård Andrew. Morten Quit The Band After Two Years. He Got Tired Of Playing Drums. A Short While After Morten Andreas And Torgrim Started Playing Together Again As An Acoustic Trio Using Two Guitars Bass And No Drums. Now They Have Begun Using Drums Again. read less
