The Killingtons

The Killingtons Were A Power-Pop Band From Long Beach California Which Started In 1995 From The Ashes Of Three Bands In Their Local Scene Emission Cambria And Treadwell. They Started As A Trio Consisting Of Singer/guitar JK Bassist Chris Muench And Drummer Daniel Hennessy. In '97 Hennessy Left To Finish His Schooling To Which He Became A Professional Photographer. His Replacement Was French Born Michél Bravine Who Had Moved From The Pacific Northwest To Long Beach. It Was A Seamless Fit And They Began To Pick Up Steam. Their Songs Began To Find Its Way Onto To Compilations Which Led To A 3-Song Seven Inch Positive Press And Then The 'American Made' EP To Support A National Tour. Around This Time They Were In The Studio With Red 5 Guitarist Mitch Townsend - Who Later Joined As Second Guitarist. They Garnered More Attention And Higher Profile Shows And Festivals. As With All Bands There Were Growing Pains However These Escalated All Was Not Well. In 2000 Bravine Left To Play For The Jealous Sound Who Had Just Signed To A Universal Records Label. He Was Followed Shortly Thereafter By Muench Who Had Just Recently Lost Both Parent's Within An 18 Month Span. Townsend Left To Pursue Recording Opportunities Eventually Landing An A&R Gig At Nitro Records Lead Singer Of The Offspring Dexter Holland's Label. JK Decided To Forge On As The Sole Original Member Eventually Stopping In 2005. In Their Decade Run JK Played Alongside The Following Musicians Before Disbanding In 2005 Chris Muench Dan Hennessy Michél Bravine Mitch Townsend Mike Vavak Sean Felcyn Frat Durst Garry Brit Kristyn Mancuso And Ari Gorman. In Their Time They Shared The Stage Many National And Diverse Names Such As At The Drive-In Jimmy Eat World No Knife Knapsack The Get Up Kids Cibo Mato New Found Glory And Reel Big Fish Amongst The Many. Boston Based Quartet American Hi-Fi Stated That They Are The Loudest Trio They Have Ever Played With! At The End Of It All They Had Officially Released Two EPs A Self-Titled Full Length And A Handful Of Tracks For Various Compilations.
