Καλομοίρα Also Known As Kalomoira Or Kalomira Born Marie Carol Sarantis January 31 1985 West Hempstead New York USA Is A Greek Pop Singer Who Has Achieved Success In Greece Cyprus And To A Lesser Extent In Europe. Kalomoira's Carreer Started After Winning Fame Story 2 A Greek Reality Talent Show Similar To Star Academy In 2004. On September 1 Two Months After The End Of The Show Her Debut Album “Καλομοίρα” Was Released Which Went Gold In Both Greece And Cyprus. The Album Produced Several Hits And Was Well Recieved By The Public But Not As Well By The Critics Who Felt That The Release Was Rushed. She Then Toured Greece Accompanied By The Rest Of The “Fame Story” Participants. On April 11 2005 She Was A Special Guest On The First Live Concert Of The First Season Of Star Academy Bulgaria. On November 29 2005 Kalomoira Released Her Second Album Titled Παίζεις? "Paizeis?" - You Playing? With 12 Songs Of Which Two Were Written And Composed By Her. Although The Album Got Better Reviews Than The First One It Was Not As Successful. It Peaked At Number 10 On The Greek Album Charts And It Didn't Get Any Certification. On December 7 2006 The Concept Album Η Καλομοίρα Πάει Σινεμά "I Kalomoira Paei Cinema" - Kalomoira Goes To The Cinema Was Released. The Album Contains A CD With Many Popular Classic Songs From Old Greek Movies Along With A Karaoke DVD. It Failed To Match The Success Of Her Two Previous Albums. No Singles Were Produced From The Album. At The End Of 2007 Kalomoira Was Chosen As One Of The Three To Contestants In The 2008 National Final To Represent Greece In The Eurovision Song Contest 2008. She Competed With Secret Combination An Upbeat R&B-Pop Song Written By Konstantinos Pantzis And Poseidonas Giannopoulos. The Song Made A Good Impression To The Public From The Very Start And Consequently Kalomoira Won The National Final. To Promote The Song She Made A Pre-Eurovision Tour And Visited Several Countries Throughout March And April. In The First Semi-Final Held On May 20 2008 Kalomoira Fared Well Coming In First Place While At The Eurovision Final On May 24 She Came In Third Behind Russia And Ukraine. Secret Combination Became Kalomoira's Most Successful Single To Date. Kalomoira Released Her Fourth Studio Album Titled Secret Combination The Album After Conquering Third Place In Eurovision. She Planned On Starting Full Promotion Of The Album But On June 2 2008 She Cancelled All Of Her Scheduled Appearances Because She Had To Fly To New York City Immediately Due To Her Sister's Pregnancy. Due To The Luck Of Promotion The Album Was Not Very Successful Peaking At Number 13 In The Album Charts. In January 2010 Kalomoira Announced Via Her Twitter That She Had Been In The Studio Recording New Music. Her Comeback Single Is Called Please Don't Break My Heart And Features Fat Man Scoop.
