Eugen Doga Was Born On March 1 1937 In In Mocra Village Rîbniţa District Of Moldova. He Made His Debut In The Composition Art In 1963 With A String Quartet Later Becoming The Author Of Many Priceless Musical Compositions Film And Theater Soundtracks. Eugen Doga Was Born And Grew Up In A Moldavian Village In A Tough Historical Time.
After Graduating From High School He Was Enrolled In The School Of Music Although He Had No Prior Training. Eugen Doga Quickly Caught Up With His Fellow Students. He Mastered Musical Notation And Learned To Play Cello. Throughout His Lifetime He Remained Grateful To His Teacher Pablo Giovanni Baccini. Then He Graduated From The Conservatory With A Degree In Cello Performance And Composition. He Also Completed A Course Of Symphonic Conducting. During His Studies He Worked In An Orchestra And Also Began To Compose Music. In 1967 He Wrote The Musical Score For "Doorman Needed" A Film Shot By Moldova-Film. Thereafter He Wrote A Great Number Of Film Scores. There Was A Joke At The Film Studio That The Studio Should Be Renamed As Moldoga-Film.
A Special Part In His Creative Work Plays The Collaboration With Emil Lotyanu And The Films They Worked On Together "Lautarii" "Queen Of The Gypsies " Anna Pavlova" “A Hunting Accident» – The Waltz From This Film Became Widely Renowned It Was Performed At The Opening Of The 1980 Summer Olympics And Of The Olympics Games In Sochi In 2014. The Tune Of The Waltz Sounds Every Day In Wedding Palaces In Underground Crosswalks Subway Stations And In The Streets It Is Often Used At Celebrations For Staging Ballet And Dance Routines At Sport Events. In Total He Wrote Musical Scores For More Than 200 Films.
He Wrote Three Ballets And One Opera Music For Theatre Performances Hundreds Of Songs And Romances Musical Compositions For Children. The Song "My White City" Became The Anthem Of Chisinau Its Chords Can Be Heard Every Hour From The Clock Tower Of The City Hall Of Chisinau. The Song "I Dreamed I Heard The Noise Of Rain" Was Written Thanks To The Cosmonaut Sevastyanov And Became The Favorite Song Of Astronauts. Throughout His Artistic Career He Has Had A Busy Concert Schedule And Has Given Hundreds Of Concerts Over The Entire Territory Of The Soviet Union Moldova Russia Romania And Other Countries. His Concerts Always Gathered Huge Audiences And Were Sell-Outs In The Biggest Halls Of Moscow Leningrad Chisinau Bucharest. After The Break-Up Of The Soviet Union He Lives In Chisinau And Moscow. He Is Awarded More Than 40 Soviet Moldavian Russian And Other Public Awards Of Merit And Awards For Contribution To Music.
He Also Engages In Public Activity And Regularly Takes Part In The Festivals. He Founded The Fund “Dominanta” In Chisinau And The Music Saloon “Eugen Doga” Where He Assembles Creative Intellectuals Business People And Politicians. His Activity Is Aimed At The Bringing The Society Together Through Art And Communication. The Year 2007 Was Announced In Moldova The Year Of Eugen Doga. The Minor Planet # 10504 Was Named After Him. He Is An Honorary Citizen Of Chisinau A Music School Is Named After Him. Maestro Eugen Doga Continues To Write Music Give Concerts And Participate In Social Activities And Considers Himself To Be A Perpetual Student.
