Prism プリズム Is Japanese Fusion Band Founded During 1975 In Tokyo Japan. Since Their Formation The Band Has Continued To Release Albums While Varying Widely In Lineup And Style. Founded By Akira Wada And Ken Watanabe Prism Is Characterized By The The Two Conflicting Elements Of Wada's Fast Aggressive Shredding And Watanabe's Gentle Passionate Bass. The Name "Prism" Was Used To Reflect The "prism Of Different Sounds" Wanting To Be Created By The Band Owing To The Intentionally Conflicting Playing Styles And Range Of Moods. The Initial Formation Of The Band Was Composed Of Musicians With Little Professional Experience Aside From Second Guitarist Katsutoshi Morizono Founder Of The Progressive Rock Band Yonin Bayashi. After Being Signed To Polydor Records And Supporting Eric Clapton's Japanese Tour Prism Released Their Self-Titled Debut In 1977 Which Sold Out Soon After Its Release. read less
