Evolving from it's mainstream origin around 2018 and into the 2020s, it incorporates more dark and ambient melodies derived from otherworldly sounding synths. It also uses more sporadic rhythms and can feature filtered/effect driven drums to make them more "spacey, glitchy or sharp". Often utilises 808s/basses with interesting overtones and odd characteristics. Usually faster BPMs than Trap. These characteristics often make people say Supertrap sounds like it's from the future.
