The all-star band UNIVERSUM25, consisting of singer Michael Robert Rhein (In Extremo), Pat Prziwara (Fiddlers Green / guitar), Gunnar Schroeder (Dritte Wahl / guitar), Rupert Keplinger (Eisbrecher, Antitype / bass) and drummer Alex Schwers (Slime), continue on their path with their second album "Die Maschinen wollen leben" and release 10 new songs full of energy and joy of playing. The subject matter on "Die Maschinen wollen leben" is once again post-apocalyptic and dystopian, with the focus this time on the tense relationship between humans and machines and the growing power of artificial intelligence. To complement this, the band uses socio-critical snapshots and pointed lyrics to uncover exactly which grievances and excesses of the present form the foundation for the high-tech Armageddon.
