Yung Spott was born in Milwaukee, WI, where his mother boasts that her son has bean making beats and rapping since he was 2 years old literally. He would keep the family of five up at night with his constant banging of his feet on the wall and say jibberish but with a rhythm to it, "Fa-fa-fa-fa". His older sister and younger brother helped influence his music by singing and making beats at the dinner table; that changed when the family moved to Gary, IN. He went from a upper-middle class lifestyle to the mean streets of the "Murder Cap", the nickname earned by Gary during that time. In a city plagued with violence and crime, and scarce positive outlets, Spott (a nick-name given by child-hood friends) began to write poetry to escape the things he saw, which quickly turned into him writing rap songs at 9 years old. He kept them secret because his father forbid his rapping, not because he didn't support Spott's talent, but because of the what he believe it perpetuated. So Spott stopped writing and began free styling in his head. He lost his best friend "El'Jauan" in the streets, the mother of his eldest daughter to birth complications, and his younger brother who was shot in the face, and is now incarcerated while standing trial for murder. Face which he later became know as, become very isolated and music was his only refuge and get away from a painful reality. He said it leaked over into his music, inspiring him in such a way, he built his earlier delivery style around it by yelling and telling deep stories based on things he saw. He finally honed his skill and got out of his slump and began writing and recording all kinds of songs, with various subjects, from upbeat to deep and thoughtful. Spott claims to have recorded 6000 songs, and does have a very large catalog of work online on various music platforms. He released his first independent album entitled, "City of Gods" which was written, enigineered, and produced entirely by Yung Spott.
