British humorist and author Alistair Sampson (born in Wimbledon on May 1, 1929, died at 76 on Jan 13, 2006) wrote the libretti for two pieces of the Gerard Hoffnung Music Festivals, Metamorphosis on a Bed-time Theme (1958) and Horrortorio (1961).
