Music Academy was a band created by ex-Dollar member David Van Day who, unhappy at his lack of success as a solo artist, attempted to receive airplay for his single Ringing The Bell by presenting himself under a pseudonym. The single was co-produced by Wang Chung members Jack Hues and Nick Feldman.
