Gong Minji (born January 18, 1994 in Seoul, South Korea), better known by her stage name Minzy, is a South Korean dancer and singer. She was a member of girlgroup 2NE1, before leaving the group and the group's agency in April 2016. In February 2017, it was announced the release of Minzy's first solo single as the soundtrack of the MBC drama "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People", called "I Wanted To Love (사랑하고 싶었던 거야)". Minzy signed with a new company, Music Works, on May 2016.
