Treyvion Deronta Echols (born July 12, 2002), professionally known as Nine Vicious, is an American recording artist from Athens, Georgia. Nine revealed in an mini interview with 8 God that he grew up in Atlanta, where he used to play basketball during his childhood years. He also explained how he got his stage name and what it meant: Nine meaning completion and Vicious from like Sid Vicious, but also my favorite Izaya Tiji song is called “Nine,” and like that’s my goat. Nine Vicious is known for taking huge inspirations from other artists such as Michael Jackson, 2pac, Young Thug and Prince to name a few, paying homage through artworks and samples throughout the majority if not all of his releases. The earliest known music from Nine Vicious dates back to 2019, where he released his debut EP, SLIME BROTHERS, to which it has since been deleted. During the end of 2024, Nine Vicious released his debut mixtape, Studio Addict, which became a minor success. However in early 2025, the album started to gain more attention, with songs such as “F&N,” “Tokyo,” and “Studio Addict” gaining attention through social media. His earlier and biggest single of his career “U Fancy” would also share the same success, going as far as getting co-signed by Young Thug himself, as well an official remix with k3, which has yet to be released. Throughout the span of January and February 2025, Nine Vicious released a slew of promotional EP’s to gear up the release of his sophomore mixtape, Tumblr Music. On March 1, 2025, it was announced by Lil Gotit that Nine Vicious signed to Young Stoner Life Records, the label ran by Thugger. Tumblr Music, the sophomore mixtape from Nine Vicious, would then see a release on March 31, 2025. From there, Nine would continue to release a slew of singles and EP’s, leading up to his next big release, For Nothing, which released on July 4, 2025 to critical and fan acclaim, with certain songs such as “So Many Tears,” “Takin Swag,” and “Face” gaining a following on social media. In September 2025, Nine claimed through the song “Baguettes,” as well as through private messages on Instagram that he had left Young Stoner Life Records, despite having zero releases from the label, however Young Thug confirmed that Nine Vicious is still under Young Stoner Life Records, despite Nine’s claims of his no affiliation with the group. At the end of November 2025, Nine Vicious began the rollout to his third studio album EMOTIONS, with the release of EM 1 and EM 1.2 in December 2025, the same rollout he used for his previous albums. EMOTIONS was originally set to release on Christmas Day, however that ended up not being the case. It is now expected to be released in 2026. Entering into 2026, on January 31, Nine would release the teaser EP B4EM, consisting of ten tracks, some of which were released prior.
