Electronicore

Electronicore is a music genre that blends metalcore or post-hardcore with electronic music elements. Although the term is sometimes used interchangeably with trancecore, the two genres have distinct characteristics. Nintendocore, which combines chiptune with post-hardcore and metalcore, may be considered either a subgenre of electronicore or a separate style.

Trancecore, derived from the words "trance" and "hardcore," refers to post-hardcore and metalcore bands that incorporate synthesizers into their breakdowns and use autotuned vocals in their choruses. When electronic music is combined with hardcore punk, it is sometimes called digital hardcore, though this style is also occasionally classified under electronicore due to digital hardcore's association with noise and industrial music. The fusion of electronic music and grindcore is known as cybergrind or electrogrind.

Notable electronicore bands include Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack!, The Browning, Crown the Empire, Enter Shikari, Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, I See Stars, Strawberry Hospital, and We Came as Romans.
