Brains Like Computers are a Dream-pop, Prog-rock, Indie band based in Portland, Oregon but originally from Madras, Oregon. The band has been compared to (and indeed influenced by) Modest Mouse, Built to Spill and The Helio Sequence as well as incorporating somewhat more dissimilar influences such as Coheed & Cambria and Animal Collective. All attended the same small town high-school and endured the stereotypical small town boredom that led them to music as the best way to kill time.

Now, after all this time killed the band decided to record some songs they play to empty venues in Portland, Oregon, United States and release them in hopes someone will catch them as they drift through cyber-space, and maybe love them.
