Born at the tender age of 0, Danny beat his twin brother out into 'the world' to join his older brother & Mum 'n' Dad in the sunny dreamland that is Romford, Essex. Having a Euphonium playing Dad and a music teacher for a Mum, it wasn't long before Danny was mastering the recorder. However, he soon gave it up to pursue Graphic Design (which was and still is his Dad's real job). This pursuit carried on till after A-Levels when Danny decided that being a Graphic Designer was going to be too competitive - so he went for a more realistic career path - being a bass player and songwriter. The careers advisor at School was clearly absent when that decicion was made... The pursuit of all things musical led Danny to Wakefield, where he got himself a degree in Popular Music Studies, an appreciation of what it is to be skint, and a cracking girlfriend who is now his cracking wife. Bass playing was his main focus at this point, but a desire to write some half decent songs meant that Danny tried to get his head around the guitar and piano. As well as working on his own stuff, Danny has played Bass in Dave Bilbrough's band for numerous years now which has involved extensive touring and playing for congregations/ audiences of up to 3 million (live on the Beeb). He also dabbles with a group of mates in the band currently known as 'Suitcase Murphy' (who also have a page somewhere on this site - somewhere). He currently lectures in songwriting, production, and performance at Leeds College of Music where he is course leader on the BA Pop Music Degree.
