When house music was introduced in Holland, Insane's style slowly melted into faster and harder beats and represented for a while the only musical stream that (until now) was ever born in the Dutch Lowlands: hardcore gabber. Meanwhile the indian scene accepted Insane with open arms and because of that he was booked on many parties, mixing hardcore house with indian tunes. This adventure delivered him bookings on big parties like BoomBoom Beats and sold out mix albums like his famous 'Burning Curry'. Nowadays dj Insane mixes records out of his case that can be labeled as hardstyle. Besides dj sets in the big national and international clubs and studio productions with an 8 on the dancescale of Richter, Insane forms the Allianz dj team. Insane brought the house down earlier this year at club Aria @ Crete with his incredible choice of records and his razorsharp mixing techniques. An absolute hardstyle pro that guarantees to get the roof totally off !!! Can you tell us a little more about your spinning style? I play dance music with harder, solid oldskool basskicks, sharp synthesizer sounds and blood-rising rhythms. Under the noun you could call it hardstyle, but that doesn't totally cover the whole. It's a mixture of hardclub, trance, progressive, hardtrance, hardhouse and oldskool classics. My style has a big recognizable factor, people know a lot of tracks that I play and besides that it's a great pace to dance to, in short everything you need to get the roof off. Besides it all I regularly surprise my audience with ragamuffin' & hiphop beats and samples. Why on earth are there promoters who book you as a dj? A lot of promoters and owners of clubs know me from my earlier times. Besides that I've been playing various hardstyle events since some years now and I play the international clubs solo or with the Allianz dj team. To me it's all about taking care of my audience; when they have a good time, I have a good time too. I play tunes that people on the dancefloor recognize and I also have a very nice mixing technique, that's how I got the name Insane. Of course I also play my own productions, but they are appreciated just as much by the audience as the other records I play. Something else we might want to know about you? Who knows! Besides dj-ing, I produce my own music in the studio. I compose and remix tracks for the UK label AUDIOREC that has his roots in the Asian Underground scene. There are plans for remixes on IMMEDIA recordings (USA) and I'm working together with Scott G., a famous American house producer to finish my solo album Insane Grooves. Also on February 2, 2006 my bonus remix of Scott G.'s 'Touch When You Dance' will be released in the USA. Inside spotters say the record is going to hit the American chart top 10, but we'll see !!!
