Ohio based musician Greg Dale has been described as having the "voice of a rabble rousing street preacher and the words of a poet nursing a wound with duct tape". In addition to his previous San Francisco Bay Area bands Sorrow Town Choir) that recorded two independent albums and The Nightfalls, since moving to Ohio in 2019, he's released music under his instrumental moniker Cardinal Song. He also is the real life voice of Midnight Riders, a digitally animated southern rock zombie biker band featured in the multi-million selling video game Left For Dead II, whose other real life members included Mike Morasky of Steel Pole Bath Tub & Jason Roeder of Neurosis. His first truly solo album, Songs From the Shallow Waters, was released in 2011 and largely recorded in Berkeley, California by Noah Landis of Neurosis and partly in San Francisco by Doug Hilsinger formerly guitarist of the bands Bomb and Waycross. Dale also has music posted to Bandcamp made in collaboration with former Bomb vocalist Michael W Dean.
