Stuart Staples is the vocalist and guitarist from the Nottingham band Tindersticks. 'The Lucky Dog Recordings' and 'Leaving Songs' albums are his first solo outputs. The sound is very similiar to Tindersticks - horns, strings, acoustic guitars. The mood is also comparable - sad and poignant and evoking images of smoking, dim-lighted bars, whiskey and dark suits. Tindersticks have been going for over 10 years and apparently will continue.
