Alexs vocals and poetry are just some of his talent, don't forget about his talented playing. Wil on drums can make you feel like your on another planet. The deep bass lines keep you guessing whats next and his back up vocals sound like Alex has a twin. I saw this band play live a ton of times. Back in the day they were by far the best band in Cleveland. That was back when Chris Maneri was on drums and Tim Haliday was on bass. Those two made the band what they were. Alx is an amazing performer and songwriter, but with out Chris and Tim he never captured the same feeling again. A lot of these songs were played and recorded with the old band and were much, much better. "Goldfish" for one was one of the most amazing songs I'd ever heard before. The version on Icon is stripped down and boring. If you want to hear some excellent stuff from Cows in the Graveyard try your best to find thier first cassette intitled "Godzwiper" It's an amazing album and a thousand times better than Icon.
