While many on the outside judged the city for its poverty, high minority counts and less than decent looking streets and abandoned buildings, Jon used all of it as inspiration. He used it as a way to craft his music. Barely goes a song where the city isn't mentioned. And it all began when he was 13-years-old. A 7th grader from Curiale Middle School decided to one day pick up a pen and write lyrics that resembled many of his favorite artists. Not quite the best, Jon continued to write whenever ideas struck him. From various rap battles in high school to even recording Christian music before finding his sound, Jon knew the whole time hip-hop is what brings him life and a sense of fulfillment. Almost 21 years old, Jon is releasing his first official mixtape entitled, "Here's My Resume." Complete with 20 tracks, Jon takes listeners on a journey with storytelling, heartbreak, love, family, lyricism, and more.
