The band was established in January 1989 and the line-up was completed by Jan Holtman (drums, percussion) and Ralph Brink (backing vocals, bass). They released their début single, 'Stand Up', in the first year of their existence. Spo Dee O Dee released two studio albums: Goin' Walkabout (1991) and Second Coming (1993). The albums got rave reviews, but their commercial performance was disappointing, leading to Spo Dee O Dee's demise in 1994. The band toured in its original line-up in 2002, under a different band name: Seed. A second reunion, this time under the original band name, was announced in the Fall of 2019. Please note that there are at least two other bands using this name, but they are listed under the name Spo-Dee-O-Dee. Please scrobble accordingly; Spo Dee O Dee is the preferred spelling for the Amsterdam-based Dutch rock band.
