The Defended are a Scottish garage rock band formed by David McCallum and Scott Chalmers. (including Fraser Breingan & Louis Pietranek from 2008-2024) The band toured the UK in 2008 and planned to release an EP in 2009 until they went on an indefinite hiatus. It wouldn't be until the 2020s that the group became known for their song "Man on a Hill", being "lost media", being found and finally reuniting for a comeback. On MySpace, they list some of their influences as the Arctic Monkeys
