Tiny Magic Myhthologies are a swirlscape of pop/folk/found-sound/noise/balladeer music emanating from rocky outskirts of Reno, Nevada. They are a band of two: Kelly Akins, providing the ever versatile and stunningly effortless vocal duties, and Michael Modene, strumming an effects laden and loop-heavy, up-tuned toy guitar. Tiny Magic Myhthologies began as a concept in the summer of '05 when Modene first heard a tape of Akins as she sang for her brother Kyle.

Tiny Magic Myhthologies are a swirlscape of pop/folk/found-sound/noise/balladeer music emanating from rocky outskirts of Reno, Nevada. They are a band of two: Kelly Akins, providing the ever versatile and stunningly effortless vocal duties, and Michael Modene, strumming an effects laden and loop-heavy, up-tuned toy guitar. Tiny Magic Myhthologies began as a concept in the summer of '05 when Modene first heard a tape of Akins as she sang for her brother Kyle. Unbeknownst to her, Kyle was rolling tape. Modene was awestruck and made strides immediately to begin a project with Akins, but alas, work, school, tours, travel, and life in general did not allow it to be so. Four years later the recession settled in and the frequency of work, tours, and travel had all dwindled. The drive to collaborate had only grown. As of Mid-2009 great audible strides had been taken by the duo. Tiny Magic Myhthologies are now focusing on a "come-what-may" body of songs that are both at home in a stripped-down living room show, or in a fully realized, lush and loud stage set up.
