DeliciouSweets is a troupe of “hyperactive devil-coquettes” arranged, starting in 1998, around the vision of fashion designer and choreographer Chaamar. In their own distinctive (and hard-to-translate) lexicon, DeliciouSweets announce themselves as an in-your-face stage show of “lustful Japanese women” who sing, dance, and perform skits. The group is rounded out by a band of male musicians (on drums, bass, guitar, and keyboards) who assist the creation of “surreal” energy.
