Sonic Wall’s members are from all over the world, brought together by their passion for playing live hard rock and heavy metal music. Sonic Wall’s formation started in mid-2020 in Ko Samui, Thailand, when guitarist Max Camerario (Italy/Argentina), met with guitarist Reto Sprecher (Switzerland), and shared their passion and ideas for playing old school heavy metal music. A few weeks later, drummer Julien Soreda (France), joined and the trio started to play covers from their favorite bands such as Megadeth, Metallica, Whitesnake, Iron Maiden, and Guns N’ Roses. By the end of 2020, bass guitarist, Buddy Barış Topçu (Turkey), joined the band. After practicing weekly and growing their song list for 6 months, the band began to discover its own identity, and the band chose the name Sonic Wall. A logo was designed by drummer Julien, who is also an experienced graphic artist. From early on, Sonic Wall’s founding members decided that they did not want to be just another cover band. The band began to author and practice even more original songs, and they are now in the process of mixing and mastering these songs for publication. But even during these important moments in the band’s early history, an important piece of the puzzle was still missing, a singer! Sonic Wall auditioned several people in Samui, but it was nearly impossible to find the right person on a small tropical island. Finally, in November 2020, vocalist Bill Cannon (United States) joined the band, and the Sonic Wall puzzle was finally temporarily completed! Unfortunately personal problems lead Sonic Wall’s decision to look for another singer, which could reflect more the style of the metal played. After few weeks, Buddy opted to become the new singer of the band and currently his place as bass player has been taken by Korn, a Thai player which is currently rehearsing with Sonic Wall. As soon as the trial period will be complete, will be announced as a permanent member of Sonic Wall. At the same time, Sonic Wall didn’t stop developing more original songs which are soon to be published on major music streaming platforms such as iTunes and Spotify. The band is getting ready to play local gigs around Thailand… they will be available to play outside of Thailand too!
