DJ Black Space A.K.A. Brent Schulke was born in Lawton, Oklahoma in the United States on February 15, 1992. Raised in Central and Southern Wisconsin on various techno types and subgenres he dreamed of one day being able to make and mix the way the professionals did. At the age of 16 he was introduced to hardstyle music by a school friend and then on April 30th, Brent ,18, was introduced to the Virtual DJ program by a new friend at a small anime convention called NoBrand Con in Eau Claire.

A month later his friend DJ KRuE, introduced him to the Fruity Loops Studio program and became a mentor to him. Since then he has been mixing progressive house like Deadmau5, dubstep like Excision, psytrance such as Alien Project, and making his own particular brand of hardstyle and dubstep. His hardstyle influences are artists such as DJ Zany, DJ Pavo, "The Prophet", and his heroes Hardstyle Masterz who became Dark Oscillators.
