Manchester, United Kingdom (2009 – present) Mind Erase This are an Alternative Rock band from Greater Manchester consisting of Thomas Simm (Vocals/Guitar), Ste Williams (Lead Guitar) Aidan Metcalf (Bass Guitar) and Jonathan Brierley (Drums). The earliest formation of the band started In February 2009, when Tom and Kieran (Ex-Bassist), both disaffected with the break up of their own previous bands, talked about forming a rock group that would be different from anything they’ve done before. Tom already had a lot musical ideas he’d been writing while at university, and as the weeks drew into March, Tom invited a friend of his brother’s, Ste Williams, to provide Lead Guitar duties, and Jonathan Brierley (whom he’d been with before in a previous band) to play drums. Both agreed, and a band was formed. After numerous rehearsals and more and more songs being written, it was obvious a name was needed fast. After many days of thought, and many discarded ideas ranging from “Arctic Heart Attack” to “The Panda Queefs”, a name was finally settled on which everyone could agree on: Mind Erase This. Unfortunately, Kieran has now left the band, and Aidan Metcalf has taken his position as bassist. We have also made the decision to look for a vocalist, but this will only happen once we have found someone who we all agree on. We're currently looking for gigs anytime!
