My name is Nicholas “Nick Bean” Royster, Jr born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to an African-Indian mother and a African-American father. Growing up in a single parent home in the neighborhoods of north Philadelphia I was first introduced to music by my older brother who at the time was working at a record store so he would have all the new releases. I remember the first time I listened to Michael Jackson’s Past, Present and Future on cassette from that moment on I became infatuated with music.

At the age of 12 I was introduced to church where I accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savoir. I begin to write music when I was 15, I first started performing with best friend and hip-hop artist Samm B (of hip-hop group Revelation) appearing in church events and special occasions drawn to the likes of hip-hop artist AZ, Nas and Royce Da 5’9” who I can say are my inspiration to continue writing music. While being known for my poetic lyricism and messages in my music as well as my close affiliation with hip-hop artist Judah Priest, Gospel Hip-hop Group Da’ Union and Harrisburg bred Gospel Record Label Eli Music Group (Formally Gospelfella Records). I have learned valuable things from many different artist and plenty of research while sharing the stage with some well known and creditable artist from Staten Island All-Star Judah Priest To Hip-hop Pioneer Salt (Of Legendary Salt n’ Pepa). Although this is a business Performing the songs are the fun parts that come after the hard work. I have learned a lot and I am eager to learn more…
