NRN was formed in 1989 by three friends attending the boarding school in Gränna, Sweden. The name war derived from the first letters in their respective first names. Borrowing influences from all over the electronical spectrum and classical music, no real totally descriptive label can be put on the music. With the school year taking a lot of time, NRN was a hobby project that, in hindsight, had no real hope to get out of the den into which it was born.

Borrowing influences from all over the electronical spectrum and classical music, no real totally descriptive label can be put on the music. With the school year taking a lot of time, NRN was a hobby project that, in hindsight, had no real hope to get out of the den into which it was born. As the years progressed members finished their respective school term and went back to their place of origin thereby splitting the group. When only one member remained the name was dropped. The friends had contact for a while exchanging musical ideas until time caught up with them and they lost contact.
