During The Cat Empire's 2006 world tour, band members Harry Angus, Will Hull-Brown, Ollie McGill and Ryan Munro invented a fictional band called 'sodomy county' (capitalisation taken from their MySpace page) and recorded lo-fi and humorous songs about the cities they visited while on tour. The band within a band then uploaded the songs to a MySpace page, where they were free to download.
