Frittenbude is a German electropunk band originally from Bavaria, whose members now reside in Berlin. The group is known for its opposition to right-wing extremism and has supported leftist Antifa initiatives. They were previously signed to the record label Audiolith. The band was formed in 2006 during a car journey to the Pfingst-Open-Air Passau. Singles from the album included "Pandabär", "Mindestens in 1000 Jahren", "Electrofikkkke", and "Das Licht". Frittenbude performed at festivals including Immergut, "Melt!", Juicy Beats, Rocken am Brocken, and Taubertal. Frittenbude gained recognition for their remixes, which often modified both instrumentation and lyrics, sometimes adding political commentary. Their second album, "Katzengold", was released in 2010 and included the single "Und täglich grüßt das Murmeltier". A limited edition included a compilation of remixes previously produced by the band. "Katzengold" reached number 57 on the German album charts. The band’s third album, "Delfinarium", was released in 2012, followed by "Küken des Orion" in 2015, which included a limited edition with the bonus album "Gänsemuseum". In 2018, Frittenbude released the singles "Die Dunkelheit darf niemals siegen" (featuring Jörkk Mechenbier) and "Süchtig", which were included on their 2019 album "Rote Sonne". In March 2022, the band announced that Martin Steer had left, and Frittenbude would continue as a duo. Their sixth album, "Apokalypse Wow", was released in March 2023 through their own label Nachti, including the previously released singles "Stoli" (2022), "Vorbei" (2023), and "Suchen/Finden" (2023).
