Tensionitis is the music alter ego of multi-instrumentalist Walt Skidmore, a software developer who codes by day and makes music by night. From start to finish, everything done by Tensionitis is conceived, written, recorded, programmed, and produced by him. Walt was born in Spokane, Washington, in the late seventies, and has been a musician and avid listener for as long as he can remember. His influences range from Sting and The Police through Sarah McLachlan, from Bach through Chicane - he listens to a wide variety of music that includes almost everything except gospel, country, and hardcore rap, though more time has been spent recently on the more electronic forms of music. Why the focus on listening? More listening to what's good leads to a better understanding of how to make good music. He continues to live in the Spokane area with his wife and three kids, and hopes to make music for a long time to come.
