BushidoSensei is an independent artist of Ambient, Electronic, and House Music Find out more at www.bushidosensei.com About Bushidō, meaning "Way of the Warrior", is a Japanese code of conduct and a way of the samurai life, loosely analogous to the concept of chivalry. It originates from the samurai moral code and stresses frugality, loyalty, martial arts mastery, and honor unto death. I have always done my best to follow this code, and felt it appropriate to have as the nomenclature to represent my music. My Music Is still viewed as a hobby and a welcome break from my normal life. I grew up listening to jazz and soul music. I was exposed to hip hop and dance in the 80's and then expanded into alternative and punk. I've grown up seeing the birth of genres such as hip hop, punk, and house move into the main stream and reach great success. My musical influences are vast, but some I often still have on my play list that are relevant here include: New Order, Gorillaz, Daft Punk, Everything But The Girl, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Guru, Common, Run DMC, Pet Shop Boys, Ella Fitzgerald, Madeleine Peroux, and many others. If I'm in my car I'm either playing Channels 81; 82; 83; or 65 on XM radio. The music I create is meant for moments – having a nice run, cruising in your ride with the windows down on a warm summer day, chillin with a glass of cognac on the couch, holding that special someone. These are moments that define happiness in my life, and the tunes are meant to bring that back for me – and hopefully enable you as the listener to reminisce over those times as well. BUDO is my first compilation and includes tracks that I believe will be an example of my style and the evolution of my sound.
