The compilation "Metal God Essentials Vol. 1" featured fan-favourite Halford tracks alongside new recordings "Forgotten Generation" and "Drop Out". Halford’s third album, "Halford III: Winter Songs", was released on 3 November 2009. It includes tracks recorded between 2008 and 2009, as well as traditional Christmas songs rearranged into heavy metal versions by Rob Halford. The first single, "Get Into the Spirit", was released to radio on 29 September 2009. The band’s fourth album, "Halford IV: Made of Metal", was released in September 2010, preceded by the single "The Mower" on 25 June 2010.
