Tin Can Kate is not a person but a delightfully peculiar band composed of Devon native Jonah and New York born Ella, who met at a University just outside of London and began writing, recording and producing their distinctively quirky music, in their bedrooms. Their sound is a playful mix of indie, pop and bedroom pop with subtle influences from electronic music. The bandname stems from Ella’s mother, who had an unashamed desire to legally name her “Tin Can Kate” when she was born.
